Back in June Feministe wrote a commentary on a “study” that was put out saying bad boys do get more girls. While I do really like Feministe blog, I’ve got some issues with their Do Jerks Get Laid More? post.

People in Relationships Have More Sex

In the post, they try to deconstruct what it means to “get laid more” by first telling us that people in relationships have more sex than single people. A point that seems to be true… at least, as far as the frequency of married sex to non-married sex goes.

Great point. Problem is: How cares? The point of the “study” (I am using study very loosing here) is not that jerks have more long term relationships and more committed, loving sexual intercourse - it’s saying jerks bang more chicks. i.e. Quantity not quality. As in, if you are out a bar, jerks are more likely to get a girl to go home with them, have sex with them and then never talk to them again.

Narcissistic Jerks Lie About Their Sexual Prowess

This is their second point of dispute… that men lie and so the study is flawed. Really?!? That’s the best a feminist blog could come up with? I sure the point is valid but for every dickhole jock that exaggerates the number of TD’s he got in the big game, I’ll show you a pale and humble nerd that lies about his prowess as a hacker. Unfortunately, we ALL live in a culture that makes us feel like we need to be more than we are - it ain’t just jerks.

Women Aren’t Being Suckered By Jerks

Feministe states that “it’s easy to forget that sometimes women have sex just to have sex and not because they actually like you that much.” I feel like I’m taking crazy pills here. So, what you are then saying to me is - “yeah, maybe the study is right; may women fuck more jerks than nice guys but it’s our choice.” Do you argue like this with your kids? Hope not - they’ll be fucked up.

I guess what just pissed me off about the post is that I ended up just hearing a bunch of women angry for the point of being angry. If jerks really do get laid more than nice guys - who fucking cares? It’s not saying YOU have to fuck a jerk - it doesn’t say women are stupid for fucking jerks (maybe jerks are just more fun for a one-time ride) - it actually doesn’t say anything [offensive] but yet you scorn the study. Which is the way most subscribers to any ‘ism’ function.

My Feelings on Jerks Getting Laid More Often

Fwiw, my personal take is that jerk asshole men DO get way more women. You will never find a woman who will say they like assholes, jerks or narcissistic men but I bet I can find 5 jerks that had sex with that woman.

Jerks just come off more confident (however, shallow that confidence is) and confidence gets translated into security and security gets translated into comfort. So, women will gravitate towards jerks for pretty basic reasons - they want security and they want comfort (shit… we ALL want that). Because of this “confidence,” jerks are much more likely to seek the woman out (the woman then feels wanted), to engage in conversation, to make jokes and be playful… a lot of jerks will even come off as intelligent when you first meet them because they expose the best stuff first (unfortunately, there is nothing AFTER that - nothing sustaining).

And most importantly, because they are jerks - they know how to build tension. It’s the old school boy trick - say you like the girl and then hit her with a rock. It works whether you want to admit it or not. You will get none of this with a nice guy - best case, you get an awkward smile 40 minutes after you have been staring the guy down.

Long story short: You may not like but as far as what the “study” was trying to communicate, it is 100% correct. Jerks do get laid (quantity of women) more often than nice guys.
